Caution: sock knitting can be addictive! So many colorful yarns to choose from, and every yarn shop has a different selection. You can enhance your sock yarn stash on all your travels, no one will object. You get a lot of knitting bang for your buck with socks, and they make great gifts if you can bear to part with them. Once you try on a hand knit sock you’ll see how hard that can be! Students must have experience knitting with double pointed needles, and come to the first class with the cuff of the sock knitted (ready to begin the heel flap). When you register we will e-mail you the pattern. If you never made anything (such as a mitten or handwarmers) that begins on double points, feel free to schedule assistance casting on for the cuff (e-mail me jennifer@sophiesyarns.com)

Materials: you will need app. 400 yards of sock yarn and set of 5 size 2 double pointed needles, and a copy of Sophie's Basic Sock Pattern.
