FELTED BAG

Yes, we want you to throw your perfectly knitted project into the washing machine on HOT water and shrink it. It will emerge transformed, and you will be too, by the COOLNESS of felting. Now you have a different knitted object than the one you thought you were making, and it’s strong and durable and soft and colorful. You’ll start your project in class (a felted clutch or small backpack) and then take it home and felt it! Please purchase your materials in advance of the class, and come with the base of the bag knitted. This is a great class for beginners--you will learn to pick up stitches, knit in the round, decrease, work a buttonhole handle, and knit I-cord. Wow!
Materials: Please plan to purchase a kit for the bag ($15 or $30 depending on the style you choose). You will need a 24” size 11 circular needle.
